An Ohio woman is claiming that she recieved second and third-degree burns after a gynecological procedure and has now filed a lawsuit against the doctors and hospital where the outpatient procedure occurred.
The procedure that occurred was to "eliminate fibroids and thin the uterine wall" because it was causing the woman pain. The procedure did not go exactly as planned and the woman allegedly was left with painful blisters and burns because the doctor was negligent in the procedure. The injuries were so pronounced that hospital personnel thought that the woman was a victim of abuse.
