Woman Killed After Being Pinned Between Vehicles

Posted on October 21st, 2009 No Comments

A woman was killed as a result of being pinned between two vehicles in the parking lot of a Batavia restaurant.  According to the police, a man driving a truck through the restaurant's drive-thru lost control of his vehicle and skidded into a woman who was standing next to another car, loading her grandchild into her vehicle.  While the child was unhurt, the woman was seriously injured when she was pinned between the cars.  Emergency responders were quick to the scene, and took her to nearby Mercy Hospital Clermont so she could be airlifted to University Hospital.  Unfortunately, however, she was declared dead at Mercy Hospital before she could be loaded onto the helicopter.
