Two lawsuits have been filed against the Texas grocery chain, HEB, by women who claim that they suffered injuries while shopping at the stores.
The first lawsuit, filed by a 63-year-old woman, claims that she slipped in water while shopping at the store in Port Arthur, Texas. The lawsuit is citing the company with negligence because there were no caution signs warning the woman of the hazard, and no employees attempted to clean up the water.
The second lawsuit involves a similar accident. A woman shopping at a Houston-area HEB also slipped in a water spill that employees neglected to clean up. She suffered a serious spinal injury caused by the fall.
Both women are seeking an unspecified amount in damages.
