Three workers injured at Ohio construction site

Posted on April 26th, 2010 No Comments

Authorities say that three workers were injured at a Ohio construction site when a cement truck's boom collapsed.

One of the workers was trapped briefly after the collapse of the boom and suffered a broken leg as a result. Two other workers suffered fractures in the accident. All injuries are said to be non-life-threatening. The workers were pumping concrete at the site and the boom was fully extended at 180 feet. For unknown reasons, the boom suddenly fell on its side. Federal workplace safety regulators will be inspecting the incident to try and find a cause of the collapse.
