Thousands of Children’s Toys Recalled

Posted on November 14th, 2008 No Comments

With the Christmas season just around the corner, many parents have already begun their holiday shopping.  In a move that could potentially affect holiday toy sales, the U.S. Consumer Product and Safety Commission has issued a voluntary recall of 18,000 My Little Train Classics toys made by JA-RU Inc. According to investigators, these toy trains contain a number of small parts that can be detached from the train and pose a choking hazard to young children. Additionally, 8,000 two-way radios have been recalled made by Cobra Electronics.  Investigators said that the rechargable batteries in the radios can leak, which could potentially result in burn injuries. Both of the recalled products were sold in Toys "R" Us stores across the country between August 2008 and September 2008. If you or someone you know has been injured by a defective or faulty product, contact Cincinnati product liability attorney at Stepleton Dugan, LLC today at 513-321-7733.
