A repeat drunk driver was arrested earlier this week after he failed to appear in a Delaware County court for another drunk driving offense.
The 43 year-old man had previously served eight years in prison after he killed a police officer while driving under the influence. In November 2001, as an officer was writing him a citation, he crashed his vehicle into the squad car and killed the officer.
Along with his prison sentence, his driver’s license was permanently revoked. Last November he was pulled over again and found with a mixed drink in his car. Between 1987 and 2002, the man had five drunk driving convictions.
