Father and son are lucky to have walked away from their plane after it crashed into a tree in a residential backyard.
The father, who was flying the small Cessna 172, says he was trying to make an emergency landing but could not make it to the nearby airport in time. He was forced to land in a neighborhood and miraculously caused only minor damage to the property. No one on the ground was harmed and father and son are in stable condition at the hospital, suffering only minor injuries.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigation the cause of the crash.
