Ford Motors is recalling 7,600 of its new 2013 Ford Escape SUVs for a possible engine leak that could cause the engine to overheat and possibly catch on fire. According to the Washington Post, a faulty plug in the engine could cause coolant to leak, which could lead to overheating.
Consumers who have the new SUV can bring it to a Ford dealership where it will be repaired for free. The automaker received one report of a fire breaking out from an employee at a dealership. No one was injured.
This is the third recall Ford has issued in two months for the 2013 Escape. In July, 11,500 were recalled for another engine leak and, 10,000 more were recalled to fix a brake problem.
