A 26-year-old man from Ohio was recently sentenced to seven years in prison after being convicted of intoxicated vehicular manslaughter.
The man was driving drunk last year when he struck another car that was driven by a 60-year-old Vietnam veteran. The veteran was seriously injured and taken to the hospital, where he died a few hours later. The family of the veteran expressed their anger and sadness over the accident, saying that they would not accept apologies from the driver.
In addition to being sentenced to seven years in prison, the man also had his license suspended for the rest of his life.
