Ohio Man Killed While Working on Construction Site

Posted on April 1st, 2011 No Comments

A thirty-year-old man was killed and two of his co-workers injured while they were working on a construction site in an Ohio neighborhood.

The men were using a metal pole to add scaffolding to the side of a house when the wind picked up and blew the metal pole into power lines that were above the workers. The workers were standing on the ground when the power lines, which contained 7,200 volts of electricity, were hit by the pole. The men were still holding on to the pole, which caused them to be electrocuted.

The two men were rescued from the pole by another co-worker, who suffered electrocution in the process of freeing them. They were all rushed to a local hospital, where one of the men was pronounced dead.
