Ohio construction worker found dead in sewer ditch

Posted on June 17th, 2011 No Comments

A Parma Heights construction worker was found dead on Wednesday morning in a sewer ditch that he and a construction crew were resurfacing. The man apparently died following a construction accident.

The construction crew was resurfacing a sewer and installing a new sewer line near Stoneham Road. The man was left by himself with a piece of digging equipment, and, when the crew returned to the man’s area, they found him dead.

Officials have said that an autopsy will be performed on the man to determine the cause of death. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration will be investigating the death as well.

Our thoughts and sympathies are with the friends and family of the man who died in this accident.
