IKEA to recall plastic high chairs

Posted on January 10th, 2012 No Comments

Nearly 169,000 “Antilop” plastic high chairs sold in IKEA stores are being recalled in the United States for a potential falling hazard.

IKEA received eight reports worldwide of children falling out of the high chair after the belt restraint became unbuckled, resulting in three children sustaining minor injuries. The recalled product was sold in white, blue, and red with silver removable legs from August 2006 to January 2010.

Customers of the Swedish furniture company that have purchased the “Antilop” high chairs should stop using it immediately and contact their nearest IKEA location about a free belt restraint replacement.

If your child has been injured by a dangerous product, contact the Cincinnati childcare products / children’s toys lawyers at Stepleton Dugan, LLC today at 513-321-7733.
