What is an insurance claims adjuster?
An insurance claims adjuster is an individual employed by an insurance company who is responsible for assessing damages following an accident. It is the job of the claims adjuster to evaluate medical reports, police reports, and physical damages to determine how much money an accident victim should be able to claim for his or her accident.
Since these individuals work for insurance companies, it is likely that they will work in the interests of their respective insurance company and not the accident victim. As such, you need to make sure you have a good lawyer working with you if you have been in an accident so that you are not denied the compensation you need and deserve to recover from your accident.
