Crash Caused by Geese

Posted on February 13th, 2009 No Comments

US Airways Flight 1549 crashed into the Hudson River on January 15th. The cause of the accident has been pointed out as being Canadian geese going through the engines, not a manufacturer defect.

The engines used on the airplane are designed to withstand a bird of up to 4 poiunds flying through them. However, the Canadian geese weigh anywhere from 6 to 10 pounds. The engines could not have withstood birds of that size.

However, not every manufacturer is so blameless. If you or someone you know has been injured by a faulty product, contact the Cincinnati personal injury attorney, Shawn M. Stepleton at 513-321-7733.
