A Columbus man with a stolen car lead a Warren County Sheriff’s deputy on a brief pursuit yesterday when he drove off after the deputy pulled him over. The 30 year-old was on Interstate 70 and sped off towards the Ohio 73 exit.
While exiting the interstate, the driver struck the deputy’s cruiser and then attempted to flee on foot. He was quickly apprehended and booked at the Warren County jail. The deputy suffered a minor hand injury in the accident.
The driver was charged with resisting arrest, receiving stolen property, and several traffic offenses. He was also wanted for escaping a Franklin County jail, Cincinnati.com reports.
